Skillsweet is a casual gaming ecosystem where players from across the world can compete for top scores and prizes on the website, on Facebook or on mobile. Delivering quality gaming experiences over a number of different platforms can be difficult. This included multiple business and subscription models as well as several ecommerce and payment integrations. Skillsweet integrates the user's game play, achievements and score from all platforms into a unified competitive gaming experience — yes, the gamification of games. As such we were constantly iterating and improving the user experience on both a micro (per game) and macro (platform environment) levels. Oh and along the way we had lots of fun designing and developing dozens and dozens of games.
My role
Creative Director, working with a UX/UI and game design team in New York, web dev teams in New York, Brazil and India, product managers in New York, and Unity, Flash, iOS, Android and HTML5 / javascript developers in New York and Brazil.
Gary very successfully completed a wide variety of projects while managing a team of people, some in NY and others in Brazil, Spain, Mexico or Italy. He's on top of all new technologies, tools and platforms available and continues to impress us with his knowledge.
